from that wonderful open letter of your mom to you, i can see what a fine little girl you're turning out to be. i know little darlings like you oftentimes don't see how lucky you are. you have the best parents in the world, alexa, do you know that? and i believe mom and dad are one in trying to inculcate in you our filipino customs and traditions. i tell you alexa, our culture is so fine, that like us, you should be proud of them.

dad and mom will always be there for you, but this doesn't mean you can't make choices of your own. of course you can, but just be careful!

I read your story about the mantianak. ( sorry if I spelled the name wrong ) She is EVIL!!!!EVIL!!!!!!! Did you ever meet the mantianak? Be careful if you did............ she can do bad things.......... BAD THINGS I TELL YOU. BAD THINGS.................... Can't breath any more from all the laughing...... I laugh so hard that I am crying.

My mom is making me read, " The Old Man and The Sea" because I need to read it for high school.

For my Creative Writing fable, I typed the story about the old filipino man and the smart boy from the city that my Lolo told my mom when she was little. But we changed it around to make it a fable.

Thank you very much for the present. When I went to get the mail, I was surprised when I saw the colorful envelope. Inside was your beautiful present!!! I like it very much. It will be very helpful when we (my family) go out-of-town this Thanksgiving. My mom said, it might even SNOW!!! Brrrrrr.......are YOU ready for the snow??

With your present......... I AM prepared for the snow. My head, neck and hands will be warm. And you picked the right color for me because it's one of my favorite colors. THANK YOU!!!! It also matches my new lavender cardigan. I'll ask my mom to take my picture with the oufit and I'll send a copy for you and Ate.

Hi Alexa,

Hope everything is ok with you and everyone in the family. That's ok. You don't have to acknowledge it in public. Your Mom knows why it was late. First, we got the white set but when it was time to send it before your bday, we found out that we got two pairs of gloves instead of a cup. So we had to back to the dept store to have it changed, but then again, we found this lavender which we both (your Ate and I) like so we changed the color again.

Thanks too that you like it. Wherever you and the whole family are going, ENJOY!!! the snow!!!! That's also the forecast here.

I haven't opened my emails yet. always busy, every weekend we're always out. Also, too bad, longer nights and shorter days.
