It's sad but i know he is with the Lord. He had a good life with Alice , Cris and his grandson. I spoke with him Sunday morning around 5:00 AM but that was it. I know he is at peace with the Lord. What i admire the most is Alice, i know it was tough on her for the last months. It is never been easy to care for someone her in US waray ato masangpit..God will bless her for her love,care and devotion to my cousin Bimbo.

My cousin Jessel texted me hours after Bimbo's death. Silingan sa kami sa una ngadi sa Sapa. In fact at one point in my life, I was inspired by him. Wara pay uso naadi nan BAP si Bimbo referee na daan na de kalidad. The moves, the agility, the looks were enough to make me want to become a referee myself. But I ended up watching basketball games from the stand. hehehe

He always makes me feel like a real family and he is so full of fun to be with.When i told him that my family is coming over , he told me that they might come by to meet them but i guess it wasn't meant to be. I'm still happy because i know that he changed a lot since he got here. I know that when he attended the 2009 Tagon-ons In USA reunion at Newark, he was already in pain. They were having a real good time on that occasion that he made a promise that he will join again in Pensacola,Florida on 2011. That really touched me because here's someone who is struggling with his health yet find time to join our reunion while others have a thousand excuses. He is gone but for us he will remain a " jolly good fellow ".

In behalf of Bimbo's barkada - namely, David Cuyos, Lala Alimboyong, Mario Cabrera & Ferd Ambray - with whom he lived together in Sta. Ana, Manila in the early 80s, I extend my deepest sympathy to Bimbo's wife Alice and family.

It only seems like yesterday when we were having a blast singing and drinking until dawn. Pagka silom, wara nay kwarta na pambayad sa paniudto/panihapon. We'll really miss our friend who would often delight us with his ultimate pasalubong, Max's fried chicken. While we're at it, we'd also like to say how much we miss his wife Alice who's always been kind and courteous.
