Twisted Truth

Let me share to you an article forwarded to me thru email by Atty. Jb Quinonez:

CORY RESIGN! RAMOS RESIGN! ERAP RESIGN! GLORIA RESIGN!
ALL PHILIPPINE PRESIDENTS’ RESIGN!

Through all the years, these were the chants in the street of the same people, of the same ideology, of the same background. The students who shouted Cory Resign are now the professors and leaders of the students who again shouted Gloria resign! Even if Gloria did resign, the next president shall again be demanded to resign. If these Filipinos were alive in the time of Christ, they would certainly be demanding His crucifixion.

Why is that? What is WRONG?

This is how it is. If their sentiments were to be examined, they would certainly tell you that the President is the cause and root of all the country’s miseries. The Philippines is swimming in corruption because of the President who is amassing ALL the country’s resources. That because of the evil President, they are now poor and are on the streets.

Hey brothers and sisters Filipinos on the streets. Please wait.

You have your desires. But can you please respect what we desire too! We believe you are sincere in pushing for the truth. But my friend, not all of us Filipinos see “truth” the way you see it. Not all of us define “truth as you defined it. But like you, we dream of a “truth” that would set this country truly free. A country that will move forward, free from corruption and hardships of life.

The “truth” that I refer to must come from the lips of a clean heart, spoken without ill-motive and selfish purpose. Otherwise, if the “truth” comes with certain “conditions”, then it is nothing but a clanging bell of “twisted truths”. Just as there is no such thing as “conditional love”, then there is no “conditional truth” too.

The “truth” from Lozada, from Joey and the whistleblowers, definitely is a masked, hypocrites’ “truth”. So hypocrite, truly. It is not the “truth” spoken by the lips of an innocent man. Joey blew the whistle because of his overflowing anger that his wishes and caprices are not served in a golden platter. Joey, the spoiled brat, who always had his way inside and out of the government was taunted for the first time. Joey, just like his father Jose de Venecia, had always all the deals in government wrapped in his fingertips. And for the first time, Joey’s bid was not in his plate. He lost what he desired most. Joey’s “truth” is not “truth” at all. He is a sour grape. He has no shame that he stands before us Filipinos talking as if he is an innocent victim. Who does he fool? For such long years, he has taken advantage of his father’s position in the government to increase his purse. If he has delicadeza, he should not even be bidding in a government where his father had been bribing and paying to stay in power. Ask the common people if they believe that Jose de Venecia is a clean man. Ask the common people if they believe that Joey blew the whistle because he feels he has a moral obligation to the stop corruption in the government. They will say, “who? … the de Venecias morally obligated to stop corruption? That is the laugh of the century”. JOEY BLEW THE WHISTLE BECAUSE HE THINKS THAT IF HE CAN NOT HAVE THE BROADBAND IN THE GOVERNMENT, THEN NOBODY WILL.

What is also distorted about ZTE is this. JOEY DE VENECIA is bidding against an entire government of China. Great for Joey, where could he and his cohorts got the billion dollars to sustain a billion dollar project. At least China could really raise the said billion capital, but Joey? Well, his father Jose must certainly be such an enterprising as to have such billion dollars capital which could pay of the country’s debts. To our Filipino brothers, at least before you rally behind Joey, can this be exposed as a “truth” too?

Let us go to Mr. Lozada, the probinsyanong intsik now under the disillusion as the next Ninoy Aquino. Please, let us not insult the memory of the true hero who is instrumental to long years of dictatorship. Before Engr. Lozada speaks of the truth then at least, he should be decent enough to reveal the “truth” about his personality especially his great ambition to raise money so that he can have his long dream to have a sex transplant. Doesn’t the nuns know that once in Lozada’s life he visited a surgeon to know the cost of changing genders? Is this truth part of your gender illusions? Most importantly, check the people behind Engr. Lozada? Who are his tutors, his missile guiders? Senator Lacson? Another gender hypocrite in the PMA? Can Engr. Lozada truly say that he came out because he is under moral obligation to stop corruption? Then why is he being cradled by the ambitious “presidentiables”? If truly Engr Lozada is bent on stopping corruption in the government, oh please, he should stop as being so obvious as making certain that his accusation hit the Malacanang and nowhere else. The corruption is all around the government, from Engr. Lozada, Mr. Estrada, to Mr. Binay, to Mr. Lacson, to Mrs. Aquino, to Mr. Cayetano, Mr. Guingona and even amongst the religious.

The “truth” is nothing more but a call for Gloria to step down so that the group behind the presidentiables may go up. It is not an outcry of truth to seek justice, stop corruption, call for genuine change, but a self service, hypocrites’ “truth”. Another grand standing that makes us common Filipinos sigh in heavy heart.

As to our leaders in the Catholic Church. We believe it is their moral obligation to reveal the truth. But please, they should not wear their “sotana” and religious attire when they exercise their rights as Filipinos. This is confusing because Catholics put reverence in their religious sotanas inside the church and not amongst the corrupt “trapos”. When the religious say that they are out to make “truth” reveal, because there is no more “truth” in Courts, do they mean to say that they should also hold their own trial courts, with priests as judges and nuns as clerk of courts inside the churches? Are they also open to government trials of married priests and those involved in sex scandal or those who had corrupted the funds of the church? Just as they believe that they can discipline and put to trial their own flock, so does the government. With their impartial truth, they have weakened the church’ stance in the society.

The Gloria government is truly flooded with corruption. But it is not she and her family alone. All of us are guilty of this corrupt system. But there is one thing however that we want. We do not like the way “truth” is being whistled as if there is no sense of intelligence in us. We do not like “truth” being advanced by hypocrites like Cory Aquino who is pushed by his loving ambitious son Noynoy Aquino who apparently lacks the wisdom of his father. We do not like Mr. Joseph Estrada to demand for “truth” when his life is an ultimate disgrace of lies, with all his women and illegitimate children whom he funded out from government money. We do not like Joey de spoiled brat De Venecia to point one accusing finger to FG when three fingers point back to his billions of assets amassed with the help of his equally disgraced corrupt father. We do not like truth being spoken by the paid disgruntled actor and engineer, Mr. Lozada, who has a script to memorize and millions placed in trust funds for whistleblowing. Engr Lozada is truly a good Chinese businessman as he has haggled a price so high after months of negotiating his whistleblowing “fee”. We do not like the truth demanded by the eternal noisy oppositionist and corrupt Mr. Guingona who thinks that this country shall be in good hands if he becomes the President. Mr. Guingona is a pathetic, frustrated old man whose uncontrollable ambition had clouded his better judgment of the reality that HE IS NOT DESTINED TO BECOME A PRESIDENT of the Philippines but the President of the Boy Kontra for life. Doesn’t Guingona realize that he looks and sounds so ridiculous and comical every time he shouts in the street? We do not like the truth spoken by Mayor Binay who likes to follow Senator Escodero’s fastest pathway to Senate. Mayor Binay has driven the business district of Makati into a near Malate. Most big businesses have transferred to Ortigas where the political condition is a little neutral. Doesn’t Binay think twice of dragging down businesses into his political chaotic ideologies. These personality examinations behind the so called “truth” can go on and on. But what we simply mean is we do not like the “truth” spoken by the red wolves who in reality were already out, devouring the innocent Filipinos.

Ahhh, where does “truth” truly lie then? Truth is in the lips of a man who has no power to seek, no self interest to reap and no reward to aspire. This truth if spoken by such man, then this Philippines shall be free.

CORY RESIGN! RAMOS RESIGN! ERAP RESIGN! GLORIA RESIGN!
ALL PHILIPPINE PRESIDENTS’ RESIGN!

soo true. i remember how in 1989 we would march through the streets of cebu and would chant "makibaka (dili makibaboy ](*,) kalamii lugar nan lechon

every issue was an opportunity to call the president to resign. i eventually got tired of all the walking, chanting and vigils and figured that maybe if change will start individually, then at some point in time, maybe in the distant future, genuine change could happen.

For me, I think Self-examination is the first step for a genuine change. This new awareness, in turn, would lead to new choices, if we are willing to make them. We could be more giving and refuse to act in our old, selfish ways. These new choices would lead to new changes in the way we thought, felt and acted. And our life would then change. Nice little process, Isn't it? I hope you all guys would agree..... :-) :-) :-)
