TAGON-ONS IN USA REUNION.....some highlights

As promised, sughac sent me the highlights of the business meeting during the recent Tagon-ons in USA Reunion in California.

Two committees were created, thus:

1. HOMETOWN PROJECT COMMITTEE (HPC)

Chaired by sughac, HPC is tasked to identify potential projects for the four municipalities---Tago, San Miguel, Bayabas, and Cagwait---with Tago, of course, as priority.

2. SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE (SC)

Linda Alngog-Cox heads this committee.

A sub-committee has been formed to review the mechanics of the selection of scholars to make it more pro-poor.

actually four special committees were created, aside from the two mentioned, committee to review the by-laws ( chaired by , teloy zerrudo ) and comm tasked to develop tagon-ons in usa website( chaired by, SLG ) were also created. by the way, tagon-ons in usa was duly registered january 2006 in the state of texas. next reunion( 2009 ) will be hosted by the sacramento & san francisco group.
