Tragic. my first time in 30 years to have an update of what's going on in this town. I witnessed the same on-slaught of typhoons in the 70's. 1974 if i'm not mistaken a major typhoon hit Tago. We hid under the table and for three days ate nothing but coconut. I also witnessed tidal waves as high as the coconut trees just the back of my school FMES also in the 70's. What happened in the cemetery was not new. Everytime a typhoon hits the area it always leaves a chilling effect of the force of nature.
I'm glad that Tagon-ons are resilient people. I had some great memories in my teenage years when we just played under moonlight. Mga taga-Silang na silingan namo sila Faith Pagaran(Paye), sila kalong anak ni Takoy, Si val, si ethel nagpuyo ila taboy. Ambot kon yaon pa an bilyaran diha sa silang. I was the class valedictorian of FMES 1980. Ako iyaan si Nanay Dading Bautista and i used to sell pandesal ni Lumen.

God bless Tago. one day i'll be able to visit you again.

Hi Ranillosalvador.

Yes, it's a should to visit our place again, to reminisce the past, and to satisfy the emptiness of the nostalgic feelings. I am sure your contemporaries will be happier when they would obviously see you.

There are a lot of changes in our town since you’ve been gone for 3 decades now as what you’ve said, but the memories and the friendship that you've established before will surely flicker as it flashes back when you come and visit again. Just like an old song, once it played, it thoroughly brings back the sweet memories together.

hi, ranillo.

that you were the class valedictorian of your batch is evident from the way you write good english. i still remember you as the hyperactive kid with a baritone voice like your brother Adonis, our batchmate. by the way, where's Adonis now?

and so you were a year younger than sammy solana and gigi bautista at FMES? sammy's in the US now. i guess you're living in GenSan.

'Ya Dading and I meet every Sunday because we go to the same church. i remember one time (three or four years ago?) your family went home to attend 'Ya Dading's birthday celebration.

Tago hasn't changed much. still, it's worth visiting again by people like you. am sure your batchmates will be glad to see their elementary valedictorian.

PS. Your batchmates will be lionized as silver jubilarians by purisima school during the homecoming this easter sunday at tago gym. they're busy preparing and have even asked me to give their batch a name.
